    Hey Hal,
Good job! Awesome site and work. I had no idea when I was referred over to you that you were a Christian, yet a solid Christian also. He never ceases to amaze me. Because He knew. Continued to stand amazed. More I know of Him, the more I realize that there is so much more to know.
    Bless you for your direction.
    Joanie :)

Great blogs Hal and an awesome web site. It puts my motionless home page to shame lol. Have you noticed how hard it is to get traffic into your blogs? And when you do, it’s not the right kind of traffic that you are looking for.

We both have novels to get published and we want to see the right kind of folk coming in. Despite all the high-tech hype about using the Internet, I’ve been contacting my local newspaper and they are more than happy to oblige and give our novel (I’m co-authoring as you know) a bit of publicity. Have you tried that one yet?

When you think about it, the majority of the book buying public still don’t use the Internet to look for books and stuff. Usually they know what they want so they go straight to Amazon. The general public are our potential customers and the Internet only goes so far. I must admit that I’m a bit disillusioned by this. Still if William P. Young can do it, then so can we lol.

Now I’m going to be a bit cheeky and use your space here to advertise my home page. You never know, someone might come in lol. Hope you don’t mind. So for all of you visitors to Hals Place, why don’t you look in at The Meadow home page when you’ve finished here. We’re not in the same genre, so there’s no competition here.

There now, I’ve done it lol. Are we still friends?

    Mike

Hi, Mike! Thanks for the comment and sure we’re “still friends.”

I’m glad you liked the website, I made that myself.

And yeah, the whole marketing thing when it comes to books is difficult. I’ve not tried the local paper yet but intend to do just that once I have my novel published.
